Carolina Beach rental property booking tips:
Find your best deal:
- Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Large Oceanfront Home in Private Community with Private Pool has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, email the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
