About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1700 square feet

Welcome to our beach home! This is our vacation home and we stay here often with our friends and family. We keep it as nice and clean as possible, and are always upgrading. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 3 King beds and two twin beds, all linens supplied. We have an office with everything you need to work from The Beach! Monitor, printer, shredder, paper, etc. Our 1700 sf home is thoroughly cleaned after each guest.

Our House has a great layout for multiple families. The master bedroom is on one side of the home and the other bedrooms and bathroom are on the other side of the home. The humongous family room is in the middle. The covered front patio is great to sit in the shade with a drink and the fans running to keep you cool. There is also a gate to keep your dog out there with you. The deck in the back is good for getting some sun.

Appreciate striking the sunrises and sunsets on the unique South facing Oak Island. Let your only worry in the world be, 'is the tide gonna reach my chair' -Zac Brown Band

Bringing your boat? The public water access is just a few blocks over. The driveway is big enough to store your boat trailer, or there’s a public lot by the water access. We have beach chairs, beach towels, body boards, and a cooler for you to use. If it rains on your beach vacation don’t worry our family room comfortably seats 8+ to watch a movie! There are plenty of games for the kids and the adults. There’s a covered patio in the front and a enormous open deck in the back.

The location is exceptional! About a 1/2 mile to the beach, 1/2 block from the Intracoastal Waterway, a 3 blocks from the grocery store, ice cream, eateries, shopping, miniature golf, and everything Oak Island has to offer. Oak Island has a great modest town feel with only a couple 'chain' businesses. The vast majority of stores and eateries are locally owned modest business. Please visit as many as you can, you will not be disappointed.

Historic Southport is a short 20 min. drive to appreciate the southern appeal, shopping, and eateries. Hop on a ferry to beautiful Bald Head Island. Or the car ferry will take you to Fort Fisher, and then a short drive to Wilmington.

I will provide you with a very modest amount of necessities in case you check in late and cannot get to the store until the following day (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, etc). This is just a starter pack, not enough for your entire stay.

Well behaved dogs are welcome - if caged at nighttime and when you are gone. Dogs are NOT allowed on the furnishings or in the beds! You must bring your own cage. There will be a one time $150.00 pet fee, max 2 dogs. Sorry, no cats or any other animals allowed. The dog rules MUST be followed. If your dog is not well behaved, this might not be the best place to bring your furry friend.

For everybody's safety and security we have video surveillance on the outside of the building - nothing inside.

Our top Oak Island rental booking tips:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Carolina Beach area. Booking your Carolina Beach vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Start by having your family select the best dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Knee Deep in the Water Somewhere has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach destination you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
