This apartment is really a special little spot in Wilmington. Located in a 100-year-old home, the inviting red staircase leads visitors to a hip little spot with a combination kitchenette & dining area, inviting bedroom, comfortable living room and sizable bathroom with an old claw foot tub. Thoughtfully decorated with mid century furnishings and art, everything in our space is calming, cozy and intentional.
Guest access
Guests appreciate a comfortable Danish modern table and chairs to savor meals or to sit around with visiting friends, new air conditioning system, wireless Internet access, flat screen TV, great books and games, combination microwave/ convection oven, induction cooker, top notch coffee supplies, and even a contemplative Buddha statue.

Strategies to get the very best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the rightrental home:

  • Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Historic Gem Upstairs Near Downtown w\/parking has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach beach you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
