Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer is high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Greenfield Lake Getaway has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
