Strategies to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your Carolina Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • To start, have your family decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Great Escape for family and friends- 5 minute walk from the beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
