Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Sunset Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Family and fun awaits you at our Tee Time Sunset Beach house!! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
