The Resort is 2,000 acres and sports three, top-rated golf courses and a forth adjacent to the resort (Oyster Bay). Golf is all-year round, and the beach and pool season runs from April until the end of October.

This barrier island beach is a breathtakingly beautiful, unspoiled community with no buildings taller than three stories. You can savor the tranquility of Sunset Beach and, when the mood strikes, discover all the various activities and nighttime life of Myrtle Beach just 15 miles down the road. Interestingly, because the Island actually orients east-west, you are spoiled by handsome sunsets on the beach. (Hence the name.)

Get the most from your budget:

• Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Summer is high season in Sunset Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
