Tips for getting the perfect Ocean Isle Beach rental home experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Comfortable, dog-friendly home near the beach with deck, WiFi & W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach beach you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
