• June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Carolina Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.

• Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
