How to find the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • First and foremost, have your family select date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Carolina Beach Home With Rooftop has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
