Strategies to get the optimal rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
