Tricks and tips to get the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Oak Island. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the bestrental:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Breezy Oaks: Oceanfront Home with Chef's Kitchen and Child-friendly Amenities has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
