Getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserve your Carolina Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Carolina Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation rental in the Carolina Beach area:

  • Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. 5BR Oceanfront Home w Private Pool and Hot Tub has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
