How to get the best rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the perfect rental:

  • Start by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Beautiful & Spacious 4BR\/2BA Duplex\/House-Pool and Fire Pit-Sleeps10 has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
