Don’t be deterred by the lack of reviews, my property was managed by a local property management company until late 2023 and is brand new to Vacation Rental By Owner. I am a Super Host on another platform for another property I own, so be assured you are in good hands!

OIB is a very family-friendly destination and the playground on the island freshly had updates/additions. The Summer Concert Series on Friday nights throughout the summer are a blast for the whole family. Come experience all that OIB has to offer.

About the Area

Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. Museum of Coastal Carolina and Sunset River Marketplace are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Rees Jones Golf Course and Leopard's Chase Golf Club. Ingram Planetarium and Planet Fun are also worth visiting.

Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

• June, July, and August are high season in the Carolina Beach area. To find the largest rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Carolina Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
• In the Carolina Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
• Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
• Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

• Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
• During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
• Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
• Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
• When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
