Settle in the living room to stream a favorite show together as you reflect on the day’s adventures. The open concept living space flows into the eat-in kitchen, where four or more can sit around the center island and keep the family chef company as they prepare the catch of the day or fresh local produce - everything you need to prepare meals for your crew is included. The round kitchen table also seats four to five people, so there’s plenty of space for everybody. Rolling barn doors close off a roomy laundry closet with a full-sized washer and dryer.
On the east side of the home, the ocean-facing bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, and the full bathroom has a standard tub/shower combo and hall access. On the west side of the home, the second bathroom offers the same layout and is located between the remaining two bedrooms. The oceanfront room on this side also provides a queen bed, while the streetside bedroom has two twins. All bedrooms as well as the common areas offer ceiling fans for your comfort, and you’ll find wood floors throughout the home with the exception of tiled bathrooms.
Outside, the partially covered front porch offers glimpses of the Atlantic and furnishings for dining or calming and wraps around one side of the home to a generous back deck where you can soak in the sunshine. Look out over the grassy backyard, where a modest copse of trees shades an handsome seating area with a natural bench fashioned from a fallen trunk.
Under the home, a porch swing provides the ideal shady spot to sway and listen to the waves, while an enclosed outdoor shower makes rinsing off after visiting the beach fast and painless. Speaking of the beach, you’ll be on the sand in moments each day thanks to a beach access point roughly 400 feet from your front door. Centrally located on Oak Island, Beach Treat is convenient to local activities, stores and eateries, as well as the bridge leading to photogenic Southport and its many stores and historic points of interest. Tips and Tricks to get the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Carolina Beach area. To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Carolina Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose a perfectrental home:
- Start by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beach Treat: Coastal Chic Home with Spacious Deck, Close to Beach Access has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
- If there's a specific Carolina Beach beach you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
