From the front porch swing to the repurposed sewing machine vanity this infant blue bungalow is packed with appeal and comfort. As much as you may want to relax in the backyard all day, I highly recommend exploring the area. Within a half-mile radius you will find pretty historic homes, 2 county parks and many local eateries, bottle stores, and a local distillery which offers live music on the weekends. For the calming evenings in there is a grocery store less than a mile away and the kitchen has all of the cooking silverware you will need. Feel complimentary to listen to a vinyl in the collection on the record player, or you can visit Gravity Records just down the road to find your own gem. Also close by are vintage thrift stores, the Downtown Riverwalk, and Independence Mall. Of course, it would be an injustice not to mention that the beach only a 15 min. commute. This home is ideal for an entertainment packed vacation, or a calming home away from home. Cleanliness and comfort is our top priority. Fresh linens, towels, and furnishings covers will be included with every stay.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect Wilmington vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in Wilmington. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and choosing a perfectvacation home:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Cargo District - Experience Wilmington Like a Local has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Carolina Beach beach you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
