Finding the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental & When to go:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Carolina Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Dog-friendly beachfront house with screened porch, AC & W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Carolina Beach destination you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
