Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Bald Head Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. When to go & When to book:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Carolina Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.

If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
