Strategies to get the best Oak Island vacation property experience:

Get the best value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Carolina Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Carolina Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing your Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. A Most Steller Place: Bright and Airy Home with Ocean Views has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
