Tricks and tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Carolina Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose and book your prefect Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 907 Pelican Watch-Bullard Realty has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Carolina Beach rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Carolina Beach attraction you are enamored with, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
