Tips to get the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Booking in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Carolina Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting the best vacation rental:

  • Choose dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 7 BR\/5.5 BA Oceanfront Home with Elevated Private Pool-Sleeps 17 has 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
