Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserve your Carolina Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 5BR\/3.5BA, Beautiful Home, Ocean & Marsh Views, Sleeps 13 has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your invoice.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
