Tips to get the best rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Carolina Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Carolina Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 066 Spirit of Sunset by Sunset Vacations has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Note any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
