Tricks and tips to get the optimal Carolina Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Carolina Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Sunset Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Carolina Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 053 The Gragg House by Sunset Vacations has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. Otherwise, contact the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Carolina Beach attraction you simply love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
