These waters are known for Cobia, Black Seabass, Bonito, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Whiting, Flounder, Tarpon, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You'll be dropping lines from a 23' Sea Hunt bay boat that can carry up to 2 passengers. It has all the essentials.
Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
