Fish Topsail

Welcome to Fish Topsail! We offer the only private charter experience on a sportfisher out of Topsail Inlet. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxing, comfortable, and dry day on the water, look no further! Whether this is your first time offshore or you’re a seasoned veteran, Captain Jake Orr and the crew will do their best to put you on the fish and make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

Your boat, the Laura Linn, is a 38’ offshore sport fishing boat built by the renowned North Caroline boatbuilder Ricky Scarborough, and it provides an excellent platform for the best combination of comfort, space, and fishability. With plenty of room for 6 people to relax in the shade or out of the weather, a sizable cockpit to fish out of, and a tower to spot from, this boat was made for your adventure.

The boat runs on a twin 350 HP Cummins engine, uses all the needed gear for efficient navigation, and has a flybridge and a toilet. The boat’s also equipped with a fighting chair, outriggers, as well as downriggers.

Some of the many species you can target include Spanish mackerel, King Mackerel, Bluefish, Amberjacks, Sharks Black Seabass, and many more. You can catch them by bottom and deep sea fishing, trolling, jigging, popping, as well as drift fishing. Kids are welcome to join the trip and keep in mind that smoking isn’t allowed. You can keep all the fish you catch.

Captain Jake will supply you with all the rods, reels, tackle, lures, a first mate and even fishing licenses. Just bring the snacks and drinks of your choice. Also, don’t forget that the first mate works for tips, a customary tip being 15-25% .
